Transformers 2 Volt and Corvette Take a Break On the Set

It seems that it's getting easier to catch photos of the cars to be featured in the upcoming Transformers 2 movie. This shot includes the 2010 Chevy Volt and the Corvette Centennial concept parked on the set. There have been several sneaky set pics featuring the two cars but now there is a video of them in motion. I'm definitely liking the color of the Volt and the blacked-out windows and it looks great on the road. Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen is still in production so hopefully there will be more to come. Watch the video of these amazing cars in motion at Jalopnik.

Driver of Other Car in Shia LaBeouf Accident is Cited

The driver of the other car which was involved in the car crash involving Shia LaBeouf has been issued a ticket for running a red light. Simon Herbert, 21, is responisible for the accident unless Shia LaBeouf's blood alcohol test reveals he was under the influence at the time of the crash.

The Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen star and his co-star Isabel Lucas were injured in the incident when Shia's Ford F-150 rolled over two times after being struck by an oncoming car.
Police are still awaiting the test results from a sample of the actor's blood that was taken for analysis. Test results should be available in a few weeks.

LaBeouf's Blood Alcohol Test Results Unknown

It's been close to a month since Transformers 2 star Shia LaBeouf was involved in a car accident which resulted in his arrest and being charged on suspicion of DUI. According to a spokesperson for the Sheriff's Dept. Shia's blood alcohol test results still have not been completed. What's taking so long?

Shia LaBeouf recently returned to the set of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen after taking a few weeks off after the crash due to injuries to his hand. His co-star Isabel Lucas, who was a passenger in the car, and a woman from the other vehicle were treated and release from the hospital. LaBeouf had to undergo hand surgery shortly after the collision.

Director Michael Bay believes LaBeouf was not intoxicated at the time of the accident. “You’re gonna see — that’s gonna go away. He was not drunk. He was drinking hours and hours before,” Bay claimed.

Latest Transformers 2 Posters Are Fakes

Two new Transformers 2 movie posters have been circulating the internet over past few days. No one knows where these posters originated from but they are obviously fan made. They look like a bad photoshop job.

Personally, I don't see how anyone could be fooled by the first one. The second looks like a shot from the end of the first Transformers movie. Nice try.

Shia LaBeouf Returns to Transformers 2 Set

According to Entertainment Tonight, Shia LaBeouf returned to work today at the Los Angeles set of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. Shia's return to the set is sooner than expected. It was previously reported that he wouldn't return for at least one month.

This news suggests that the 1st unit filming crew will have to get back to work on prinicple photography. It was recently reported that they were put on hiatus for four weeks while LaBeouf's hand took time to heal.

Shia LaBeouf's return to work is a relief for Transformers fans who were afraid that the production's halt would cause the film's release date to be pushed back.

LaBeouf’s Pinky Amputation Only A Rumor

It turns out that Shia LaBeouf's pinky will remain attached. According to his publicist Melissa Kates, recent reports of the Transformers star possibly losing a finger are totally false.

On Wednesday, Star magazine reported that doctors had warned LaBeouf that the pinky finger on his left hand would have to be removed. He injured his hand in a car accident in Hollywood on July 27.

Pictures have surfaced of LaBeouf’s heavily bandaged hand with the pinky exposed. He has undergone extensive surgery to repair the damage and will likely need physical therapy.

Shia LaBeouf’s publicist is sticking by her story and says the earlier reports are “completely fabricated.”

Shia LaBeouf's Pinky May Be Amputated

Recent reports from Star magazine reveal that Shia LaBeouf may have to have his pinky finger amputated. Doctors informed the Transformers star that it will likely be necessary to amputate the smashed finger on his left hand.

LaBeouf informed Transformers producers yesterday of the possible amputation and it has caused turmoil on the production. Just last week the movie's director Michael Bay was telling reporters that he was working on a way to work LaBeouf's injury into the story.

I'm sure this will cause even more problems for Bay. Movies are not shot in sequential order. Re-shoots would be very costly. LaBeouf can't be seen in one scene with an injured hand and five minutes later it's good as new. Maybe they can use some CGI.

Transformers Script May Be Modified to Include LaBeouf’s Injury

The script for the Transformers sequel may have to be re-written to accommodate Shia LaBeouf’s hand injury. In a recent interview, the film’s director Michael Bay said that LaBeouf’s hand was so severely injured that the script may have to be adjusted.

“His two fingers are pretty smashed, but we’re figuring out a way to shoot around it, kind of write it into the story,” Bay said.

A rep for Paramount Pictures stated that no final decision had been made.

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, the sequel to 2007’s blockbuster hit, is currently in production. Bay has resumed shooting without LaBeouf, who isn’t expected to return to the set for another month.

Shia LaBeouf’s car accident has caused the Transformers film schedule to be adjusted and several days of shooting have been lost because of his absence.

LaBeouf was charged with misdemeanor DUI following a car accident in West Hollywood in which his left hand was severely injured, requiring surgery. Australian actress Isabel Lucas was also in the car and has a supporting role in the Transformers sequel.

Police have determined that the other driver, who is yet to be identified, caused the accident.

Michael Bay has quickly come to the defense of his leading man and insists that he was not intoxicated at the time of the crash and says that “that’s gonna go away.”

Shia LaBeouf arrested for DUI

Transformers star Shia LaBeouf was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving after a car accident in which he was injured early Sunday.

At about 3am, the car LaBeouf was driving collided with another vehicle in Hollywood, California. He suffered injuries to his head, knee and hand and was hospitalized.

A passenger in the car with LaBeouf suffered minor injuries.

The collision occurred when Shia LaBeouf made a left turn in the path of another vehicle. LaBeouf's car reportedly rolled over after striking the car. He was arrested and booked for misdemeanor DUI and released.

Shia's injuries could have a major impact on the shooting schedule of the new Transformers movie. It has been reported that LaBeouf will need a month to recover from his injuries so Michael Bay will have to shoot scenes that don't include LaBeouf until he returns.

Update:
Reports reveal that although Shia LaBeouf was driving drunk, the accident was not his fault. The driver of the other vehicle ran a red light which caused the accident. Shia has been released from the hospital following extensive hand surgery and will not return to the set of Transformers 2 for another month.

Michael Bay Tight Lipped About Transformers 2

In a recent phone interview with Entertainment Weekly, Michael Bay, director of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, wasn't giving very many details about the upcoming flick. The interview took place during a break on the set of the sequel which was described as a "remote air force base" at an "undisclosed location".

ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY asked, "What can you tell us about Transformers 2? Or, better yet, what will you tell us?"

MICHAEL BAY said, "When we were writing the script, I said to the writers, 'I hate sequels that try to make it to the third movie. Pretend like we’re never having a third movie, so let’s go for broke on the second one. I hate those cliffhangers! Let’s just make this movie stand on its own.' I really feel this movie is not a forced sequel. I think the script is really good, and I think it’s got a lot of new stuff in it. There are a lot of rumors out there, but we’ve released a lot of fake stuff. We’ve done a really good job of keeping things secret."

ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY asked, "Can you give us a hint of something that is true then?"

Bay just laughs and says, "No."

"C'mon, anything?"

Bay responds, "There are some great, new robots that are really inventive."

Bay goes on to talk about his upcoming remake of Friday the 13th and his alleged rejection of the Dark Knight script.
