McG vs Bay Round Two

As I suspected, it didn't take McG long to respond to Michael Bay's remark about the huge Terminator robots that look like Transformers.

In a recent post, Michael Bay Takes Shot at McG, I made reference to a recent post from Bay on his forum stating, “We’ve seen certain movies coming out even try to duplicate Transformer size robots in their ads. Please, come on.” It was obvious that he was referring to the large robot, named Harvester, near the end of the Terminator Salvation trailer.

Word has gotten back to McG but I'm a liitle disappointed with his comeback. The Terminator Salvation director was recently screening some footage from his upcoming flick and made this lame response:

“It bothers me to tell you the truth. Ultimately, our large robots have nothing to do with the "Transformers" robots, " McG replied. "I say with respect, giant robots have been the theme of film for a real long time. So we want to do everything we can to create separation," he continued. "Our film's about T-800s and the Marcus character and the Connor character, and this, that, and the other. So, to have people have a problem with that wouldn't be working for us so we want to make sure there's separation."

I was really looking for a heated exchange between the two directors. Actually a competitive rivalry between them could further fuel the hype for both their anticipated films. I think McG knows he's outta his league.

Transformers 2 Official Pictures Released

One of the most exciting differences between Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen and its predecessor is the amazing locations. This movie is going to look incredible. They actually shot the real Egyptian pyramids. Based on what Michael Bay has said, this sequel is gonna blow all of us away! There's going to be more action and adventure in this one. I'm looking forward to the trailer during the Super Bowl!

Michael Bay Takes Out McG

In case you were wondering, that's not a Transformer you're looking at. It's a Terminator! There's going to be an epic battle this summer between Terminator Salvation and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. That picture is not sitting very well with Michael Bay. He recently took a shot at Terminator director McG and his "duplicate Transformer size robots." Over on the Official Michael Bay Forums, he is discussing his upcoming Transformers 2 movie and saying that he is allowing all the other big summer movies to "get their stuff out" before he drops the initial footage of Transformers.

Okay it's time to turn up the heat on Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. We've waited low in the weeds letting all the summer movies get their stuff out. We've seen the great year end movies, and watched the upcoming clips of the upcoming summer fare. We've seen certain movies coming out even try to duplicate Transformer size robots in their ads. Please, come on.

Well, I promise you we will rock your world with Transformers 2. The fans wanted ROBOTS KICKING ASS - well we got it. Today we are releasing the teaser poster and soon the onslaught will continue with a steady drum beat until June 26th.

Well, it looks like the battle of the directors is on! A pissing contest about whose robots are the most kick-ass. Let's pray that McG fires back. I don't know whose side to take. Both movies are about robots so I don't know how Bay has a bone to pick. Now if that thing transforms, then we have a problem. I love Terminator but I think its time has passed. The CGI in the Terminator trailer looks suspect at best, but I must give Michael Bay credit for his incredible CGI in Transformers. I'm betting that Terminator has more plot since lack of plot has been a gripe against Bay for some time. It's going to be a great summer! Whose side are you on?

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen movie poster!

Michael Bay has finally released the new movie poster for Transformers: The Revenge of the Fallen. The mysterious figure on the poster has caused much debate but it has been confirmed that it is The Fallen himself. Two subsequent posters will be coming soon. One will feature Optimus Prime and the other will feature Jetfire.
